A Note from Our Founder, Rajeev Sen
Twelve years ago, I began coaching three Class 10 students in my living room. They were bright kids, but they shared a common problem: they had memorized the formulas in their textbooks, yet they had no idea why those formulas worked. When the ICSE board asked a slightly twisted numerical, they panicked.
I realized that local commercial coaching centers had become factories. With 40 to 50 students crammed into a single basement classroom, individual doubts were ignored, and teachers resorted to rote dictation to finish the syllabus.
I founded **Hohai Achievers Academy** on a simple rule: **Maximum 12 students per batch.** I wanted a space where a student could interrupt the teacher mid-derivation to ask “how did we get that step?” without feeling embarrassed. We focus on building problem-solving intuition first.
Today, we coach hundreds of board students every year across Dehradun, but our founding philosophy has never wavered. We believe that if you make a child understand the concept, the marks will follow automatically.

Capped Batch Sizes (Max 12)
We refuse to run crowded lecture halls. Capping classes at 12 students allows teachers to trace every student's copy, inspect their working steps, and answer doubts individually.
Concept First, Rote Never
We break down complex derivations and chemical structures into basic logical blocks. We teach students to understand the 'why' so they can answer unfamiliar board questions.

No vague promises. Parents receive automated SMS check-ins when children enter the center and a detailed monthly progress report documenting test scores and teacher observations.
